The nature reserves of the ENTELLA River and the “Ardesia” Bikepath

A few steps from our Bed and Breakfast is one of the most naturally striking areas of the TIGULLIO region: the banks of the ENTELLA river. This river is a natural division separating the urban cities of LAVAGNA and CHIAVARI, It offers local residents and visiting tourists the opportunity for pleasant and relaxing TREKKING as well as a bike path for all seasons.

The route is completely surrounded by nature.   Walkers can complete a 10 km route that has numerous seating areas, tables and fountains where they can stop and relax in the shade of the many trees.  You can join the many Birdwatchers. or simply sit and admire the wildlife that lives in the river.   The entire route is well marked with signs and brightly lit, making it suitable for people of all ages.

The ENTELLA nature reserve represents the beginning section of the “Ardesia” bikepath.  This trail winds along the river for 35 km, crossing many valleys and characteristic villages of the area, up to the hamlet of Bassi, located in the municipality of TRIBOGNA. For fans of mountain biking, this itinerary is highly recommended and we will tell you more about it in our next article!

 

The “Ciclovia” (or bikepath) was created as both a pedestrian and bike route.  It offers extraordinary views of nature’s beauty as well as the opportunity to visit corners of Liguria in its natural form.  The “Ciclovia” is part of the network of Ligurian bikepaths , which boasts over 900 kilometers of routes. These routes are mostly suitable for everyone, including families with children. In addition, there are numerous towns along the way rich in culture, food, and wine traditions where you can discover the authentic flavors and aromas of historic LIGURIA.
